The War Between the Land and the Sea OTT Release

The War Between the Land and the Sea, the Doctor Who spin-off miniseries, is expected to stream on Disney+ Hotstar in India in 2026. An exact release date has not been announced yet.

The series features Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Russell Tovey, and other actors in lead roles. It also includes appearances connected to the Doctor Who universe.

The story revolves around an ancient aquatic species, the Sea Devils (also known as Homo Aqua), who emerge from the ocean. Their return creates a major conflict with humans over issues like ocean pollution and rising sea levels. It follows the resulting international crisis and the involvement of UNIT.

The series first aired on BBC One and iPlayer in December 2025. Indian viewers will have to wait for the Disney+ Hotstar release.
